Practice Makes Perfect!

Due to the loving encouragement of my husband, I ventured into learning how to make purses from fabric only, rather than just crocheting them, and believe it or not I really enjoyed it! I'm so thankful for the way he gently nudges me to try new things! :)

So, from my pile of random scraps of fabric I picked these two and sewed them up! It's a very simple tote bag, and I didn't make any pockets for it, but I did make a lining. You can find the pattern by clicking here and it's quite easy, even for me being a first-timer! The pattern, however, does not include the lining, so to make the lining I just followed all the same steps to make the body but made the opposite sides (of the lining fabric) facing when sewing it together.

(And you'll also see my good old sewing machine in the background...thank God for free hand-me-downs! :)

Very nice! Sewing is a lot of fun! I love it almost as much as knitting and my other hobbies. And it gets better with practice also. Keep up the good work, and hang on to that husband, he sounds like mine. They are hard to find!
